ARK Youth

The Youth Ministry at BFCN is designed to help students grow into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and other teens in our community. Our mission is to give students a place to be Loved, to find their Identity in Jesus, and to learn about the Truth through God’s word. We create a culture of discipleship and authenticity that is seen through our students and our leaders. This comes about by having real conversations with students about the things that are affecting them. We are sensitive to what these students are facing in today’s world and prepare them by walking with them in their relationship with Jesus. We are ARK Youth! (Ambassadors Representing the Kingdom)

ARK Youth (grades 6-12) meet on Wednesdays from 6:30pm-8:30pm. ARK nights consist of games, snacks, hangout time, Jesus, lessons, Small Groups, and much more. ARK will also embark on many different trips and activities done outside the church, such as camps, beach trips, and much more!

If you live in the Newark or surrounding areas and want your child to grow closer to Jesus, we would welcome you to join us at ARK Youth! Our students and Adult Leaders are excited to meet you and welcome you to our church family!

Philosophy of Youth Ministry

The primary function of the youth ministries of BFCN is to walk alongside the lives of teens and help them deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. It is to have our adult leader’s partner alongside your student to help them grow in their faith, and model what spiritual maturity looks like. We want your students to be Loved, to Find their Identity in Jesus, and to learn about the Truth of God’s word. Our students are a vital part of the church and play a crucial role in the spiritual health of our family here at BFCN.

As parents, your primary role at this stage is to model the spiritual maturity you want to see in your children. Our role is to support you as you seek to parent well, to provide secondary models of spiritual maturity, and to train, equip, and encourage your teens to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
