Matthew 7: 12-14
The Golden Rule
12 “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy[a] that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Sermon Notes:
- The guiding principle is living with discernment towards others is to do to others what I would want done for me.
- Jesus asks us to do these things in the positive in Matthew 7:12. “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them…”
- The Law of God was designed to instruct us to love our neighbor.
- When we operate within our design, things go well.
- We are designed to love God and love our neighbor.
